thanksgiving…

I just posted my last article and showed it to illie and she made the point that a blog is supposed to be about me. and not about why I’m doing it. good point. (really, I intended to write something separate about myself after I finished configuring this thing…)

Back at an internship in ’98 a coworker once told me that once I start work, life just flashes by really fast. Now that I’m married and working in Chicago, I’m really getting a taste of it. It’s almost been half a year since we moved out here together but it’s seriously felt like a couple months. Maybe because I’m enjoying my work and life out here??

anyway, got some pretty cute pictures from Thanksgiving. Spent it exclusively with Illie’s side of the family — thanksgiving night in La Porte, Indiana with Illie’s father’s side of the family and then the weekend with Illie’s mom’s side of the family. It was great to meet some of Illie’s cousins and meet up with uncle Ernie and uncle Sam again — after being part of the family for about half a year, they already feel very “uncle-ish” to me. The cousins that we visited are both doctors in Indiana with the cutest kids — “bobo” and his grandmother to the right, and the adorable Esther to the left.

Credits to Angie for these pictures.

The food was great and we were extremely well fed. The whole weekend was a constant feeling of either being extremely full or unbearably bloated. But it was good to see family and some cousins-in-law that I love hanging out with.

so now that thanksgiving is a week away I’m back in the weekly swing of things. I believe my crazy metabolism is actually showing signs of slowing down — my pants are getting uncomfortably tight these days.
